Greetings from Germany
Hello Everyone!
Having had the pleasure to meet some of you at the tournament in Stahleck last weekend, and after hearing good things about the Cenacle, I decided to register here, despite having almost zero knowledge of the French language
Using Google's website translation, it seems I can follow the discussions reasonably well.
I've been hanging around the FFG forums for a while using the same nickname. My real name is Michael and I started to become interested in CoC when the LCG Core Set was released. Christian (ManOnTheMoon at FFG), another German CoC player since its CCG days contacted me and introduced me to this fine game.
Before CoC I had minimal contact with (trading) card games. I played a couple of test games of MtG (which I didn't like) and Jyhad (which I kinda liked, but never got into). I was quite excited about NetRunner, though, and also played a bit of Illuminati NWO.
But I'm mainly interested in roleplaying games (currently: D&D, Earthdawn, and 'Das Schwarze Auge') and board games - particularly the (semi-) cooperative kind: Arkham Horror, Battlestar Galactica, Lord of the Rings, etc.
If it hadn't been for Wolfgang's (Thorondor's) insistence, I would probably never had visited Stahleck. But I'm certainly glad he did, since it was really fun

Hi, Jhaelen,
Glad to see some guys from the FFG forums, look at the Cenacle.
If I remember Christian was the guy with a Polar Deck last year in Stahleck.
Come to the IRV at the end of the month to meet the french community !

You're probably right, because Christian had an Agency/Hastur Polar deck this year at Stahleck as well...

Re: Greetings from Germany
Welcome on the Cenacle Jhaelen!
You deserve your love for the Miskatonic University: as a Lovecraftian scholar, you used tools and resources to translate some content
and trust me, there are some unspeakable plays on words on the Cenacle ...
Google translate has improved a lot since the last years
Yes, it's him. Last year in Stahleck, Christian K. was the only German player.

Re: Greetings from Germany
Thanks for the cordial welcome
I certainly hope to visit regularly and participate in discussions from time to time, particularly since there is often not much going on in the FFG forums.
I don't plan to visit Liege since it's too soon after the Stahleck tournament and my time is currently limited, unfortunately. Maybe next year I'll be ready, having more advance time to take it into account and plan for it.
