I would love to get in on this action, I own the game but very rarly get to play and would love to play with you guys some time... though I would be very lame at it and might need some help on the rules as I am so rusty, I just never get to play it really.

I have skype "Jynkies" and if you guys have a regular time to meet up then I will be there now and then.. not often as I need to be up around 3am to play with you guys.. but I am VERY keen to play this game lol so I think I can make it now and then. I have LackeyCCG installed using the LCG plugin found here....

In fact, we played yesterday night with Kriss.

The point is that we don't really set up formal rendez-vous. When I'm available during an evening, sometimes I just connect Skype, see if some CoC LCG players are connected too. Or I just connect via LackeyCCG server and see if someone else is connected and eager to play a game.

Nothing best than a "real" game in order to learn the rules. Skype+Lackey can do the job correctly. Kriss is probably one of the most frequent to be connected. Sadric (italian buddy) is connected quite often.

Me, I'm sometimes connected two or three times a week, and then no connection during one month,... depends on the work and family activities.

The correct URL for plugin is indeed Sadric's one.

Even if i'm not connected on lackey, i'm usually connected to skype so i can challenge everyone, talk about deckbuilding etc (yes in fact we are not here just to crush others players but to improve both players strategy and decks )

Hi guys!

Just want to let you know that I finaly met up with one of you guys... "FredhoT" I believe it was. Anyway, he was very patient and stayed up late to teach me the basics of the game and walk me though some stuff.. giving me a grounding in the game. I am far being able to play missplay free but I should be able to put up at least an enjoyable game if anyone wants to play me!

Just want to say thank you to FredhoT, I really appreciate the time you put in and your patience with my noob-ary.

FredhoT is a nice player ^^, but he's not enought connected the night, so it's hard to catch him

Actually, these last days, I've been connected more often. On your side, you were not easy to reach, and one of the last times we connected via skype, you were not able to play Cthulhu, you were playing another game online...

But indeed, from time to time I'm available.

Well I hope we meet up again. I am going to try making my first deck tonight in prep for our next time. I just need to get my terrible manners under control. i have a really bad habit of interrupting people when I get excited.

Tried teaching a mate of mine this game in my ever continuing search to find someone to play with!! I was wondering... a defending player dose not put tokens on the story card. Only attacking players can yea? That is how I was playing it, though my mate said it was the other way around.

Only the attacking player can put success tokens by winning the skill struggle (1 for winning it and an additional token if the opponent skill was 0).
Both players can put 1 success token by winning the investigation struggle, no matter who's defending and who's attacking.

I had a quick look at your deck. A few thoughts:
- 19 characters seem a little bit too low. Keep in mind you need to win stories with characters... 25-30 gives a better ratio to draw enough at the beginning.
- paralysis can also be improved with Hastur splash like Power Drain, Performance Artist,...
- cards in 1x are unlikely to be seen very often in play.

Oh I haven't tried any deck building .. I just picked this one at random from the site. Though I am an experienced player of these "types" of games and understand things like "draw chance" and stuff... but I just wanted to try some decks and see how these things work. I think I was more interested in seeing other peoples decks and how they used them ratehr then running my own deck.

Once of the things in CoC I really like is the resource management. I think you need a deeper understanding of your deck when you pick one up as you can easily cripple your deck by discarding the wrong cards as a resource. Also, only have 3 actions a turn really means you need to plan your strategies .. .I find this pretty interesting. I'll try my hand at deck building eventually, but as I only ever get to play when I stay up to 6am or something (assumign you guys are online) it might take me a while before I understand the game or card enough to make a decent deck.
