MZI is right.

Playtesters already submited such ideas, but the balance of the game is so sensitive it should break down every effort made in a way to avoid broken card.

Imagine how powerfull might be a Chess Prodigy if you send him on a story that would start with :
or something that would allow investigation to be even more powerfull.

That's why I'm not found of the proposition concerning the "Doom that came to Sarnath". Cthulhu is hard to settle as a faction and this would weaken a faction that is not actually so well tuned !! They should never win this story, if it gets in play in early game !!

No. The only new cards were the Arkham Nights domains.

Jaffer and Anton both seemed to really like the idea, but concern was raised regarding cards being made that would be collectible since the LCG isn't a collectible game.

I am kind of confused by that statement though since they produced two sets of white bordered domain card triptychs that are quite collectible and are not available to anyone to buy. (Arkham Nights and Gen Con 2010 domains) Granted, domains are not necessary to play the game which maybe their reasoning for collectible domains, but it seems odd to do one and not the other.

I only proposed the idea a month before the event so perhaps there wasn't enough time to print them if they did want to before the event. Oh well, there is always next year. It seemed like a good idea to have a story card as a promotional item for the event. Its not like story cards are the most sought after cards, unlike normal cards.

Yep, I totally agree with you.

Printing new domains is creating a collectible aspect for a pice of the game ! And just reminds how interesting were the promotionnel stories (it was the Challenge from Beyond and the Nameless City) and you'll have something that might boost up the communities.

May I ask you to gives us a link for a better picture (with higher Res) of those domains, so we may us them ???

And is there any picture of the Gen Con 2010 domains ?

They look like it's an illustration for a coming Silver Twilight Lodge card, which will be cropped...

Here are the 2010 Gen Con Domains

Tad bit unnecessary to scrawl 'call of cthulhu the card game' across the top like that. Kind of detracts from the overall theme of domains with such an aesthetic.

@ Fred: I am not sure if they are for Silver Twilight, but since Silver Twilight was so strongly marketed at the event, I wouldn't doubt it. If you look closely, you can see that they are all gathered around the base of (what I assume to be) a crouching Cthulhu statue.

Regardless, the domains are not much better quality than the picture it is in. Very grainy. Its as if they took a very tiny low res pic and stretched it to fit the size of the cards... They are neat, but I am not impressed with the quality.

Those domains are neat, especially the Arkham Nights ones (you're right, the CoC logo is too big on the Gen Con ones).

Hope FFG will make them easily available one way or the other (I noticed there are now proofs of purchase coupons on the flyer enclosed in each Asylum Pack).

To make matters even more confusing about promo cards, the Days of Ice and Fire event this weekend had an unexpected surprise with AGoT GRRM promo cards included with the promo house cards in each gift bag.

So... they don't seem so shy to use collectible cards as promos for the game after all.
